Synopsis

After a humiliating breakup and a career that has begun to feel like an endless procession of other people's sentences, London editor Clara Bennett accepts the temporary stewardship of her late aunt's small English-language bookshop in Paris. She expects dust, debt, and a few quiet months in which nobody knows enough about her to ask questions.
