THE MECHANIC'S ACE

Synopsis

In the spring of 1917, Luc Moreau knows engines better than men. Raised behind the greasy doors of his father's motor garage outside Lyon, he is transferred from an army repair park to a front-line French flying squadron near Reims. There he becomes the mechanic assigned to Lieutenant Henri Vautrin, a celebrated fighter pilot whose survival depends as much on bolts, fuel lines, and timing gears as on courage in the air.
