The Mercy Between Lines

Synopsis

In 1864, Northern nurse Clara Whitcomb volunteers at a Virginia field hospital where uniforms are cut away faster than loyalties. Among the wounded is a gravely injured officer who refuses to reveal his regiment and gives only one name: Elias. Their wary conversations grow into trust, then into a bond neither can safely name. When Clara discovers he is Major Julian Mercer, a Confederate officer tied by blood to the raid that shattered her own family, affection becomes an accusation.
